Victoria B. Darcy was something of a rebel. Coming from a well respected family of industrialists, she was a professor of horticulture as well as a keen conservationist. From her opinions on the up-keep of parks, to turning the industrial landscape into beautiful gardens, she was most certainly ahead of her time with these new ideas. Wherever you see wild flowers or a beautiful park within the City of Sheffield, you can think of Victoria B. Darcy.
